The Sport Industry Research Centre (SIRC) at Sheffield Hallam University recently conducted a report on behalf of StreetGames to examine and present an estimation of the spending patterns of low income households (bottom 20% in terms of income) on leisure activities for the year 2016. Some comparisons are made with results from a previous study using 2012 data. The aims of the report are:

• Analysis of Leisure Spend data available via the Living Cost and Food Survey (Family Spending);.
• Focused analysis to explore spending patterns by the target group (bottom 20% of households in terms of income).
