InsightReport Activity Know-How StreetGames together with 18 local organisations from across the country recently undertook an action research project to test and explore how best to: • Build ‘activity know-how’ (i.e. someone’s confidence, competence and connection with sport) and • Minimise young people ‘revolving’ in and out of sessions. The organisations tested a variety of different methods, including: introducing new activities such as: pop-up sports, competitions/tournaments or additional social activities, ‘nudges’ such as sending text message reminders and providing additional encouragement and support through the use of peer promoters. Findings from the study can be downloaded here…… Peer-Led Action Research StreetGames together with 12 local organisations from across the country recently undertook an action research project to test and explore how young people look to self-organise activities with peers outside the doorstep sport setting. The young people took part in a variety of activities including: joining a local gym, group running sessions/entering the Colour Run event, American football and trampolining.
