This summer, I had the pleasure of visiting an inclusive summer project at Broadmead Primary School in Croydon. I was here to find out about Bfree Sports’ (formerly J&C Coaching) ‘Fit and Fed’ project that aims to tackle the hidden issues of holiday hunger and inactivity.

For many families, the summer holidays are a time to look forward to, but not for all families. For the poorest 10% of UK households, 74% of their disposable income would need to be spent on food in order for them to eat well, compared to 6% for the richest 10% of households.
