Since May 2018, StreetGames has been working in partnership with the Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT) and Credit Unions to raise awareness amongst disadvantaged young people about the dangers of loan sharks and illegal money lending. The ‘StreetSavers’ project is currently being piloted in 7 areas in England with a view to rolling out additional schemes in disadvantaged areas across England.

The Sport Industry Research Centre (SIRC) at Sheffield Hallam University recently conducted a report on behalf of StreetGames to examine and present an estimation of the spending patterns of low income households (bottom 20% in terms of income) on leisure activities for the year 2016. Some comparisons are made with results from a previous study using 2012 data. The aims of the report are:
