The inaugural FA Girls’ Football Week kicks off nationwide from Monday 25th April. The week aims to encourage more educational institutions, community organisations and clubs to run female specific football sessions. From lunch time tasters, to after school clubs and full blown football festivals there’s lots of ways to get involved and give girls aged 5-16 the opportunity to try football for the first time or re-engage those that might have been tempted away from the sport.

The FA is asking every organisation that wishes to hold an activity, regardless of size to register their interest. On completion, you will receive free helpful promotional materials as well as ideas and tips on activities that you can run. Click here for more information and to register your activity.

We want to harness the excitement of Girls’ Football Week, by getting more women and girls playing 'the beautiful game', therefore, StreetGames and The Football Association have continued their partnership to bring you an exciting Pop-Up Football Club offer for 2016! We will be allocating up to 50 Pop-Up Football Clubs to deliver a minimum of 10 weekly designated Football sessions.

If successful, your organisation will receive a bundle of football goodies including footballs, shin pads and a kitbag. You will also be able to access the StreetGames Football Activator training at a discounted rate for your staff, leaders and volunteers.

To register for a Girls Pop-Up Football Club, please complete the survey link below by Friday 18th March.

If you have any questions regarding Girls’ Football week or the registration process, please contact info@FAGirlsFootballWeek.com

For individual girls looking to get involved, we encourage them to either go directly to their school or club to encourage them to take part or alternatively look for local football opportunities near them at TheFA.com/PlayFootball
