Prince Harry and Meghan Markle weren’t the only ones in the spotlight at last month’s royal wedding event, as StreetGames took its place alongside six other charitable causes as a royal wedding beneficiary. Donations came in from a wide array of sources, including schools, businesses and private individuals, with notable fundraising activities taking place at:

Newtown C of E Primary School - Gosport

Staff and students marked the event by donning colourful royal costumes, as well as other items featuring the Union Jack’s red, blue and white. At lunch, the entire school took part in a special street party event, featuring crown-shaped cookies, special bunting and other artistic flourishes courtesy of the children themselves! StreetGames would like to extend its thanks to Mrs. S Girt, as well as staff and pupils for their fantastic efforts and generous donation!

Tostock Rainbows Fundraising

Tostock Rainbows – Suffolk

An activity club for young girls aged 5 to 7, Tostock Rainbows organised a special fundraising event to mark the royal wedding. The girls worked together to complete an entire marathon in a little over 20 minutes, with each participant contributing a single mile to the total. StreetGames would like to thank both the organisers of the event and the girls themselves, and hopes that they all enjoy their special StreetGames medals!

Leyburn School Fundraising

Leyburn School - Yorkshire

Pupils and teachers organised a special picnic and wedding-themed cake sale, featuring designs that included red roses, British flags, royal crowns and tiaras! Thank you to everyone at Leyburn School for your amazing efforts and brilliant donation!

Epsom Primary School Fundraising

Epsom Primary School - Surrey

Pupils at Epsom Primary marked the royal wedding in style, dedicating an entire day of games and activities to celebrating the big event. Students worked together to create dozens of glittery wedding cards, and two huge flags, representing both of the couple’s home nations. This was followed by a special royal wedding lunch, served to students by members of the royal family, or rather their lookalikes in the cafeteria! Thanks to everyone at Epsom Primary school for their fabulous contribution and massive enthusiasm for StreetGames!

StreetGames would also like to extend its thanks to the royal couple – without whom, none of these fundraising efforts would have been possible. Thank you.
