The StreetGames annual Youth Conference returned earlier this month, as more than 90 eager attendees turned up to participate in a range of learning, networking and animated feedback sessions. This year’s event, designed to help StreetGames to gauge the needs, wants and expectations of Britain’s young people, revolved around the theme of listening – and the hashtag ‘#HearMeOut’. Participants were treated to a wide range of activities, including volleyball, tennis and football, as well as Youth Mental Health First Aid.

Reactions to the event were highly positive, with a special social media filter being used by more than half of those in attendance!

“My group had a great day and it’s got them thinking about their futures” said one Project Leader, echoing the thoughts of many that StreetGames spoke to.

Thank you to all those involved in the planning and delivery of this year’s event, including guest speaker Sanjeev Baga, Global Head of Vertical Markets at Vodafone, who spoke to attendees about the changing power of sport, as the “best platform to practice skills for the future”.

Thank you all!
