StreetGames is a fast-moving and innovative national charity with a sector-leading reputation for delivering sport and physical activity on the doorstep of deprived communities.

Our aim is to help young people and communities enjoy lives that are healthier, safer and more successful through sport and physical activity.

To do that, we work with community organisations to engage young people from lower socio-economic groups through sport and physical activity at the right time, in the right place, at the right price, in the right style and through the right people.

This is a new post, which has been created to meet the needs of the growing Network in Wales. This post is key to supporting Locally Trusted Organisations (LTOs) to deliver a sustainable Doorstep Sport offer, and is aligned to the Vision for Sport in Wales, the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act 2015, and the Sport Wales Strategy.

StreetGames has a reputation for delivering doorstep sport in deprived communities engaging young people through sport in the right style, right place, right time, and right price and with the right people; to help them lead an active lifestyle and achieve their potential. Everything we do is insight led, ensuring that learning is captured and shared, to help ensure meaningful change.

The purpose of the role is to contribute to a collaborative, sustainable and successful sports sector, led by collective insight and learning. This will be achieved by;

  • Supporting Locally Trusted Organisations (LTOs) within Wales’ most deprived communities to test new approaches to fundraising and sustainability,
  • Supporting and enabling LTOs to access new sources of income for the delivery of the local sporting offer, linking the needs of investors in wider social outcomes with community organisations’ capability.
  • Developing the skills and capacity, of staff and volunteers within LTOs and the wider StreetGames Wales team
  • Sharing learning and best practice across the sector and with key stakeholders.

The Wales Partnership Fundraising Manager will form part of the StreetGames Wales Team and will work alongside the Head of Programmes and the team to develop and support our vision of creating sustainable Doorstep Sport provision across Wales.

The Wales Partnership Fundraising Manager will also link with the StreetGames National Fundraising Team, ensuring national opportunities are maximised in Wales, and sharing learning and best practice with the other English Regions.

This role is offered as a Full Time post. Other options including secondments will be considered in order to attract the right candidate.
