Midlands Doorstep Sport Advisors (DSA) – Staffordshire

£150 per day

Fixed term contract 31st October 2022 – 31st October 2023

StreetGames is a national charity dedicated to developing sport in underserved communities. Our goal is to make sport accessible to everyone regardless of their income and social circumstance.

Through StreetGames collaboration with Staffordshire Youth Justice Service and Together Active (Active Partnership for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent), StreetGames are looking for individuals with experience of managing, coordinating or working with/for Locally Trusted Organisation (LTO) to join our network engagement team in the Midlands.

Doorstep Sport Advisors (DSAs) work as a key component of StreetGames and the Midlands Regional Team, providing face-to-face support to organisations in the StreetGames Network to grow and develop in a sustainable way, in addition to reviewing their Doorstep Sport Offer. We are also committed to looking how Doorstep Sport contributes to social outcomes such as community safety and the successful individual(s) will play a key role in supporting community organisations to develop robust sport-based diversionary programmes. The successful candidate/s will have excellent communication and people management skills and strong experience working in/with low-income, underserved communities.

We are looking to recruit 1 or 2 Doorstep Sport Advisors as a contracted post/s from 31st October 2022- 31st October 2023 to cover the local authority, Staffordshire.

Over the course of the contract, capacity may be reviewed with the possibility of contract extensions and increases in available capacity from other contracts.  

These are contracted posts. Doorstep Sport Advisors will be paid £150 per day inclusive of expenses. Extensive travel within the designated local authority will be reimbursed upon agreement with the contract manager. Secondment opportunities will be considered.
