These are two new qualifications that equip candidates for work in the sport and activity sector. The standards have been written by forward thinking employers from across the sector, and embody the skills and knowledge that are needed now and in the future. Learning with StreetGames will ensure the apprentice specialises in working in low-income areas. On completion the apprentice must perform tasks confidently and competently to the standard set by the industry to achieve the qualification.

Community Activator Coach (Level 2) – The Activator Coach leads and coaches fun, inclusive and engaging activities that help people of all ages to change their behaviour and adopt and maintain a physically active lifestyle.

The apprentice Level 2 Activator Coach will learn how to activate groups in not-very-active communities and how to mobilise the power of sport to harvest sport-for-good outcomes.

Community Sport & Health Officer (Level 3) – The CSHO designs programmes that make a real difference to their target neighbourhood.

The apprentice CSHO will master the asset based approach to community development in sport and well-being. The learning programme supports the individual to scope, organise and coordinate the delivery of opportunities for communities by getting more from private, public and third sector partners.

A full copy of both these standards is published by the government and can be found below:
