StreetGames is a national charity that works to take sport to the doorsteps of disadvantaged communities. This style of delivery is known as 'Doorstep Sport'.

Social Inclusion

StreetGames believes that sport can be an instrument of social change in disadvantaged communities. Simply put: the charity wants to see more disadvantaged young people taking part in sport.

StreetGames helps disadvantaged young people to develop their skills and to improve their confidence by taking part in, and leading on sports initiatives.

StreetGames values partnerships that draw upon the diverse strengths and expertise of all involved. As such, the charity believes in sharing its good ideas and resources with the wider sport and youth sector. In doing so, StreetGames hopes to strengthen the UK's entire sporting infrastructure, and will continue to do so until true a 'equity of opportunity' has been achieved.

Doorstep Sport is a constantly evolving style of community engagement, youth empowerment and sports delivery: there is still much to be learned and many new techniques yet to be tested. As such, the charity remains flexible to new situations and fresh challenges.

StreetGames challenges the barriers that prevent underrepresented groups based in disadvantaged areas from taking part in sport. These groups include women and girls, black and minority ethnic communities (BAME), and those with disabilities.
